Hi friends,
How's your July been?
After working on Tutorpass for the last seven months, it feels good to see it slowly take shape.
I appreciate your support following my journey during this period.
I'm working on putting together a product demo to share with you in the upcoming months. You'll be one of the first people in the world to use Tutorpass.
Long-term
I came across an interesting interview between Ken Norton and Michael Siliski, a product manager at Stripe. You can read it here.
Towards the middle of the conversation, Ken and Michael discuss what long-term means at Stripe.
When we think about the future direction of anything, our frame of reference is day-by-day, sprint-by-sprint or feature-by-feature.
But what about the next decade?
I struggle to imagine what Tutorpass will look like in the next ten to thirty years. Will the company even exist — who knows?
However, looking at the trends, I can assert a few things today.
Tutorpass is a bet on the convergence between the internet and education. Over time, the underpinning infrastructure will get better — unlocking cheaper, quicker pathways to better opportunities.
Now — something appealing happens when you contemplate over a multi-decade time horizon. It's so far into the future that details are not so important. All you can expect is that things will be easier, faster, and more powerful.
It then becomes a question of whether your long-term vision will complement this future reality.
The secret
I’ve been thinking about what the different futures for Tutorpass might be. So I put together a secret 10-year master plan.
Well, it's not so much of a secret anymore. I want to share it with you and get your thoughts. You can read it here.
Thanks for dropping in. Until next month.
